Andy Rankin

Andy is a founder of the Creative Metier business and Head of Coaching Practice. He is an experienced consultant and senior management mentor and coach with a background in the design and implementation of learning solutions; design, delivery and procurement of leadership, management and personal development programmes; and the building of strategic relationships.

Andy specializes in working across disparate organisational functions and boundaries. Along with Glynis Rankin he has developed Creative Metier’s leading edge programmes v-interactive® and v-interactive®100.

Andy has worked on a variety of global learning and change initiatives, initially with GEC-Marconi before transferring into the Marconi telecoms business. As, Head of UK Learning Delivery at Marconi, Andy implemented learning strategy to align with strategic business and HR Goals; managed delivery of learning solutions across all functions and subject areas; developed an outsource partnership model and was a senior management mentor.

As Leadership Development Manager with Marconi Global Learning, a corporate initiative to establish a Global Practice Area in Leadership across all Marconi businesses, Andy was on the Leadership Faculty of My Learning, an innovative web portal to support learning delivery within the company. Responsible for commissioning and managing the leadership and personal development content, he also implemented a Leadership Development Programme to support the world-wide implementation of Marconi Values.

Prior to joining GEC-Marconi Andy worked as an independent learning development consultant working in the public sector and with blue chip companies. He delivered consultancy services for the Institute for Financial Education and Training during the early 1990’s and coached and mentored senior managers during this period.

Andy has an MA in Management Learning (MAML) from the University of Lancaster; a Diploma in Leadership & Creativity – Institute for Creativity; is qualified to British Psychological Society Level A and Level B; is a Registered Myers Briggs practitioner; is a Business Excellence Model Assessor; and has Vocational Assessors Awards. He is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
