Glynis Rankin

Glynis is a founder Director of Creative Metier Limited, a leading edge player in career development, leadership and organization development including the notably innovative delivery vehicles v-interactive® and v-interactive®100. She has been a senior executive coach for more than 15 years with extensive experience in Africa, SE Asia, India, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Creative Metier specializes in Remote International Coaching Delivery (RICD) systems which give their high impact programmes global coverage. The company delivers internationally across all industries and sectors, with headquarters in the UK.

Prior to setting up Creative Metier Glynis advised the microfinance network, Opportunity International on the services required to support the formalization of 10 Network Partners to create full service banks. She then served for two years as Vice President, Technical Services Division restructuring one of three Divisions to deliver global organizational change at Network and Implementing Partner level through the delivery of consultancy and training. Glynis implemented changes across the Network, including board governance, risk management, accreditation, finance, HR systems, and product development in savings and micro-insurance.

Glynis has worked in leadership and management development as part of strategic organizational change since 1991. As Executive Director at the Institute for Financial Education and Training at the University of Wales Bangor, she developed the Institute to serve international financial sector clients delivering consultancy on organizational design and learning, and leading on major international assignments across the financial sector. Glynis also trained as a coach during this period, running “Line Manager as Coach” in 1993. Under her leadership the Institute, now part of the North Wales Business School, developed academic and professional qualifications in business management for local leaders in public utilities, SME’s and the public sector.

She is Chair of the Trustees of the mental health and development charity BasicNeeds and founded the Bristol Branch of Women in Banking and Finance.

Glynis has an MA in Sociology; and MA in Management Learning and an accreditation from the Institute of Management Consultants. She is a Member of the Institute of Directors. She is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
