Katherine Long is an experienced coach, facilitator and coaching supervisor with 20 years of experience in training and development. Previously working with Linguarama International, a leading global business language training provider, Katherine was a member of the Group Pedagogical Unit and also Director of Studies.
She supported the organisation in growing their business through the design and delivery of bespoke cross-cultural communications programmes to wide range of clients, including London Stock Exchange, Unilever, Deutsche Post, Hewlett Packard, and Rolls Royce.
Having achieved the Advanced Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring in 2002, she set up her own practice as a coach, increasingly involved in delivering OBU accredited coach-mentor qualifications through the CIPD and The OCM (where she acts as Lead Assessor and is a member of the Executive). Additional specialisms include coaching for intercultural competences and cultural awareness, and CPD credited coaching to the legal sector.
Katherine has a good track record of leading community based projects, which have included the Hope08 initiative in Stratford upon Avon, and spearheading a successful Fairtrade Town campaign where she lives, and is a trustee to local mental health charity.
Katherine gained ‘Practitioner in Coaching and Mentoring’ (APEL) at EMCC Level 7, and is currently qualifying as an accredited coach-mentoring supervisor. She is qualified to British Psychological Society Level A and Level B; is qualified to deliver 15FQ+, as well as ILM72 Integrated Leadership Measure, and MTQ48 mental toughness assessment tool. She is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
