Women's World Banking

Creative Metier is a trusted thought-partner for Women's World Banking in developing and delivering our Leadership and Diversity for Innovation Program. Through this one-year program a senior executive and a woman leader or high-potential female employee from high-performing financial institutions across the globe participate in parallel leadership programs to develop skills to successfully serve low-income women.

During the program, each team identifies and solves a real-time challenge facing their institution, such as growing the business responsibly, better serving existing clients, reaching new market segments or creating inclusive workplaces to attract and retain diverse talent. The coaching support that Creative Metier provides is a key element of the program design and is consistently recognized by participating executives as contributing to their success in meeting strategic business challenges and professional development objectives.

FSD Africa

Creative Metier is working with Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSD Africa) to build the market for executive coaching in Africa, such that it is able to support leaders in the financial sector. From the initial research in 2014 to the implementation of a full suite of market building activities, Creative Metier has designed and delivered this innovative and complex project.

“Creative Metier has done significant research on the status of executive coaching markets in Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria. We are continuing to work with them on how to build the services market in executive coaching in East Africa. We spent a lot of time thinking through the strategy together. The whole idea of building markets is very new and unpredictable, but we were able to come up with a strategy for implementation by working together with Creative Metier.”

Paul Musoke, Director Change Management & Building Services Markets, Retail Banking in Africa also commented on the impact of Creative Metier’s services in the region:

“I am quite thrilled with the work that we have been able to accomplish with Creative Metier. We did not know what we were getting into because it is a difficult market. But because of what we have done, there are a number of other providers coming into the services market. The people I have worked with at Creative Metier are all great. They are all very professional.

Frankly, what we have done is just a small ripple, in terms of what we would like to achieve. I think there is a lot of room to collaborate with Creative Metier and other partners to turn these ripples into waves, so that we can have a systematic impact on the financial sector in Africa. I am looking forward to work with Creative Metier on other programmes that they initiate in the future.”

VisionFund International

VisionFund International (VFI) is a global network of microfinance institutions working to improve the lives of children in the developing world by offering small loans and other financial services to families living in poverty.

Creative Metier has worked with VFI’s People and Culture team to systematically build the capacity of its CEOs and senior leaders to enable them to develop new products, build partnerships to offer integrated services and deliver on the network’s three-year strategic objectives.

“Investing in leadership development is a key strategic aspect of our budget this year as well as next. Building strong and agile leadership is fundamental to growing the network, extending our reach, and ultimately increasing the number of children around the world who are impacted by the work that we do.” Katherine Galliano, Head of People and Culture, VisionFund International

As a result of this program, VisionFund leaders now feel better equipped to overcome the challenges posed by their operating environments and to empower their clients to develop the businesses which enable children to grow up with improved health and education.

“Thank you Creative Metier and thank you VFI for giving me this opportunity to bring out the best in myself; to sharpen our skills as leaders and to benefit children all over the world.” Senior Leader, VFI Ghana
