Responding to growth and change

Rapid growth and strategic change place new demands on an organisation and its staff. Implementing radically new services, delivery channels and technologies may also require significant organisational and/or culture change to resource these new initiatives.

Creative Metier works with organisations to understand the demands that these changes will place on the organisation, the capacities of existing staff and any restructuring, role redesign or recruitment that may be required. This ensures that the organisation has the right people, with the right skills, in the right roles to deliver their strategy and that results are far more likely to be achieved.

Organisations working in rapidly changing and competitive environments need to innovate. Many organisations prioritise technical implementation but completely ignore the unique requirements that innovation places upon their staff, thus limiting their success.

Successful innovation requires new types of thinking, restructuring of roles, strong communications, and the ability to develop new products and services to meet client needs. Leaders need to understand and implement changes to systems, staff attitudes, behaviours and client relationships. Creative Metier works with organisations to understand the changes required and the capacity of current staff to deliver. The requirements of senior leadership change as organisations grow. CEOs, Managing Directors and their reports are required to make more complex decisions, carry higher workloads, and deal with greater challenges as their organisations become more successful. Creative Metier systematically reviews the changing requirements of senior roles so they can be clearly articulated, responsibilities can be delegated and tasks can be restructured to balance workloads and meet the organisations’ current needs.

Strategic HR Review

Creative Metier works with clients at the global, regional or national level to diagnose the drivers behind their core staffing challenges and to understand how to resolve these in the most effective way. The Strategic HR Review includes a diagnosis of current HR capability and challenges, in-country staff focus groups, and careful work with the senior team to understand the organisation’s objectives, challenges and ways forward.

Recruitment and retention

In rapidly growing economies in parts of Africa and Asia, organisations face critical challenges in their ability to recruit and retain appropriately skilled staff. Labour market competition is strong and organisations may not be able to pay a market salary. Creative Metier’s research over many years has identified the core drivers behind effectively recruiting and retaining staff. We work with organisations to build processes for identifying and clarifying roles, attracting and recruiting the right staff, and inducting and retaining talented individuals at all levels of the organisation.
